This is a post from my other blog from a few days ago:
It’s been raining like cats and dogs here in WI for the past couple of days. We’ve gotten enough rain in some parts of our state that dams have broke and major flooding has occured. I think I heard this morning on the news that Lake Dalton actually made national news when the dam broke and houses actually fell into the flood water and were floating towards the Wisconsin river. I think the final total was 7 houses were headed for the river as of news time this morning.
This is from yesterday:
We got another round of really bad storms again yesterday. It’s actually so bad around here in some areas that FEMA has been called in. The next county over from us actually got about 4 inches of rain in approximately 20 minutes yesterday. There were something like 22 tornado watches/warnings through three states. Some of the damage totals for counties surrounding us are Waukesha County - $35 million, Vernon County - $5.5 million and in my county (Dane) it’s expected to up over $5.6 million.

Pipe Bomb Stuffed Chicken Left On Road
Authorities in Connecticut are wondering who stuffed a raw roasting chicken with a pipe bomb and left it on a roadside.
Simsbury police Capt. Matthew Catania said a motorist noticed the chicken Friday morning. He said the bomb was large enough to harm a person if it went off.
The road was closed while the Hartford Police Department's bomb squad came and blew up the chicken.
Nobody was injured. No arrests had been made Monday night.
